Class Attire
All dancers will need pink ballet slippers and tap shoes (preschool dancers enrolled in at school classes will need white tap shoes. All tap students ages 5 and up will need tan tap shoes).
Students enrolled in hip-hop classes will need black tennis shoes. Jazz students will need tan slip-on jazz shoes.
All dancers ages five and up will wear the studio practice tank top with appropriate black bottoms of choice. Dancers will need these materials for each and every class.
Please be sure that your dancers name is on all dance shoes as well as the street shoes warranty class. Please be sure to also label each article of clothing as all students have identical practice attire.

Studio practice tanks may be purchased at registration and or the first day of class. If we do not have your dancer size in stock, the practice tank will be sent home from class once we receive the order. Until the uniform is sent home, any appropriate dance attire will be acceptable.

Performance Opportunities
Dates and times for the Spring Dance Recital and dress rehearsal will be announced at a later date.
Each dancer will perform one routine for each dance discipline in which they are enrolled. Students enrolled in the Ballet & Tap Combination class will perform two routines.
Participation in the Spring Dance Recital is not mandatory; however, it is a wonderful opportunity for our dancers to showcase their hard work, build confidence, and enjoy the experience of performing on stage.
A $60 Spring Dance Recital Fee is due with March tuition. For your convenience, the recital fee will be automatically added to your March tuition draft.

Costumes
Each dancer participating in the Spring Dance Recital will need a costume for each dance discipline in which they are enrolled. The costume fee is $65 per costume. Students enrolled in combination classes will receive a separate costume for each discipline studied.
To make the cost more manageable, the total costume fee will be divided into two equal payments, which will be drafted with tuition on October 5 and November 5.
Please note that costumes will not be ordered until payment has been received in full. If the costume fee has not been paid in full by November 15, the dancer’s costume will not be ordered. Costumes must be ordered before Thanksgiving break to ensure they arrive in time for recital pictures.
Costumes are not custom-fitted, so alterations may be necessary. Any alterations are the responsibility and expense of the individual family. Steps the Studio does not provide or cover the cost of alterations.
